| Brenton Cottman is a Digital Matte Painter and Conceptual Illustrator working in the entertainment industry. With 10 years experience working for clients in the such as Weta Digital, ILM, and Digital Domain, Brenton has worked in the role of Matte Painting and Environment Lead producing conceptual art, cg assets, matte paintings, and rough composites for environments in film and animated features. Recently he has contributed to films such as the Hobbit Trilogy, Planet of the Apes, Avengers and Avatar for which he received the Visual Effects Society award for "Outstanding Matte Paintings in a Feature Motion Picture".
